I am one of those people who are quite not blessed on having even skintone and it is one of my insecurities indeed. I wonder why I do have much hyperpigmentation on my lips when in fact, I don't go out a lot under the sun. The only thing I could blame myself is that I am not so particular about having lip care routine and maybe that's the reason why I have uneven pigment on lips.
I long dreamed of having those evenly pink or red plump lips but I was not doing something about it until one day, my insecurities pushed me to take action on it. I am hoping to find a solution on lip balms and I was not really a fan of them. I am more on lip tints and cream lipsticks. I did try some lip balms before but I end up throwing them since it kinda leaves a white residue on lips, more like a buttery clump on lips.
This time I was doing a lot of research and most of them said that to lighten darken lips, I would need a moisturizing balm with SPF. I was in WATSONS' and saw this NIVEA BALM with SPF15. I was hesitant at first and and contemplated, I did not bought it the first time I went to the drugstore. What I did when I got home is that I researched about it and found a blog that reviewed about it and she said it doesn't leave a white residue on lips. The great thing about it is that it could help lighten the darken lips due to moisturization and SPF shield from harmful UV rays that can cause darkening.
I finally decided to get it because of that and I am so glad. I have used it for 3 weeks now and it has been great. My lips tend to be so dry also and I just moisturize it with my mouth but they said I shouldn't do that as our saliva contains some slight acidity that is also the culprit of lip darkening. I have cut hat habit and each time I feel like my lips are dry, I just swipe my balm. I notice a lightening in my lips around this time and I couldn't be more happier. I have an obvious dark ring on my lips and it got lessen while I am using this product.

Moving on, this has a buttery consistency but kinda creamy during application and it is just slightly glossy, not heavy and certainly no white residue.

I will certainly use this product again once I am out since it is good and working for me. I would still like to try other products though that has the same or quicker result than this. If you have any recommendations and product suggestions that is really effective for lightening darken lips please comment and tell me your secret. I will definitely check on it.

So that is my lips above now. I noticed that my lips are lot more pink and the surrounding dark pigmentation has lighten already. Hopefully it gets all even soon.
