Hello ladies and gents! I have a different kind of breakfast today and this is boiled Saba Banana. It is a hybrid banana that is very known from Philippines and it is considered as a cooking banana but it is also good to eat them uncooked.

Our favorite way of cooking them (peeled or not) is by boiling of course for 15 minutes in high heat. They are also mostly favorited as streetfood when coated with brown sugar, deep fried and skewed. We call that Bananacue.

This is perfect because it just ripened when we bought it. It is still starchy but at the same time naturally sweet and very slightly sour.
