Hello Universe! I just went to a local drugstore here, Mercury Drug. Since I had to do some errands and it is close to the pharmacy, I bought some stuff there.
I got some Johnsons baby or talcum powder and Dove Bar Soap. You might be wondering why the baby powder? Let us just say it is a sort of holy grail in the family. It could be any brand though, but my sister requested it for the meantime. We are kind of lazy about wearing makeup and this will do already for me along with my liptint or balm and eyebrow pencil.
Johnson's Baby Powder Blossoms Scent (25g) and Dove White Beauty Bar Soap (135g) |
Lately, I have been so curious about this Dove soap as we used to have supplies on this before but we never use it and just gave them away. Now that I am 32, I feel like most beauty soaps that I have been using were so drying and it does not seem to serve its purpose, like evenning out my skintone. I do usually use whitening soaps to have an even complexion. Together with some lotions, it does not seem to work still. However, I am not so much into lotions and creams too which also I think the lack of application consistency made it fail.
I do wonder though as to why other Dove soap users has these even skintone, smooth and silky bright skin, some even eventually have whiter complexion. I thought it must be the moisturization that made them that. That got me buying the soap and quite intrigued to see what are its effects on me in the coming months.
What I just did not like about using Dove soap before is its inability to lather so much and it feels slippery to the skin even after washing up. I usually like the feeling of being squeaky clean after shower and I do not get that with Dove before. I do hope though I can get used to that feeling for the sake of skin moisturization.
I kinda forgot how much these two costs. I might have already thrown the receipts but I am certain that Johnson's Baby Powder costs less than Php20.00 and this Dove Soap does not costs more than Php70.00
